Your role will encompass:
Modeling the principles of friendliness: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate our customers.
Promoting our Corporate Brands and fostering trust among your associates.
Creating a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued, answering their questions about products throughout the store.
Maintaining knowledge of our product offerings and providing informed recommendations to customers.
Assisting with the preparation of beautiful produce platters and trays.
Communicating current produce specials to customers.
Preparing, packaging, labeling, and inventorying merchandise effectively.
Inspecting products for quality and taking necessary actions for any items that do not meet standards.
Stocking and organizing department merchandise while keeping the shelf layout appealing.
Documenting any discrepancies in product orders and shipping.
Maintaining positivity and staying updated on seasonal promotions and specials.
Ensuring proper temperature controls in cases and coolers, along with maintaining temperature logs.
Upholding safety by following procedures and reporting any unsafe conditions to management.
Practicing preventive maintenance on equipment and alerting the appropriate personnel for repairs.
Reporting any accidents involving customers or employees.
Notifying management about safety risks, theft, or any illegal activities.
Exhibiting the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
Managing conflicts in a calm and cooperative manner.
Maintaining honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Following directions and seeking assistance when needed to resolve issues.
Providing support and assistance in a respectful manner to all customers, including minors and those with special needs.
Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
Ability to remain composed in stressful situations.
Effective communication skills.
Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
Possession of a current food handler's permit upon employment.
Preferred Experience:
Previous retail experience.
Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, or writing).
