We service consumer and small business loans across the credit spectrum and offers backup servicing and due diligence services to capital providers and trustees.Merrick Bank is an FDIC-insured Utah Industrial Loan Bank.

Merrick operates three main business lines:

credit cards, recreational lending, and merchant services.Carson Smithfield, LLC provides a variety of post-charge-off debt recovery services, including digital self-service, IVR, live agent, and external agency management.**Essential Functions:****Compliance with Laws & Regulations:*** Responsible for complying with all of the Bank’s internal control policies and procedures.* Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject.* Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts.**Education and Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline such as math, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, or a hard science is required.* Higher level education such as a Master's degree, or certifications in a science, technology, engineering, or math field is desirable.* Typically requires five (5) years of credit card experience in a strategic, quantitative problem-solving role.**Summary of Qualifications:*** Banking, financial services, and/or analytical data experience are highly preferred.* Proven ability to work with large data sets with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. SQL is a requirement and Python, R, Shiny, SAS, Tableau or other data analysis tools are also highly preferred.* Analytical rigor and autonomous problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple initiatives and efforts.* Self-starter with inquisitive spirit, adept at working as part of a team of internal and external partners across business groups* Passion for bringing ideas to life and take ownership for strategy and execution* Excellent problem solving, communication, verbal/written presentation skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.**Work Environment/Physical Demands: Light**The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

We will conduct a thorough background check for all hires in compliance with applicable**.** Use marketing segmentation and targeting models for Direct Mail campaigns and online marketing.* Work with internal and external partners to understand campaigns’ details and prepare code and data for a campaign execution.* Maintain SQL code to pull, score, segment, aggregate, and produce acquisition campaigns based on Credit Bureau data.* Manage marketing data and integration with external data and APIs.* Manage strategy and implementation/audit documentation with other departments and with outside vendors.* Track and evaluate campaign results, identify business opportunities, and make recommendations for future campaigns.* Support development of hypotheses for marketing/targeting tests and analyses of test results.
