
Assistant Director for Training and Recruitment

Responsibilities
Lead and manage day‑to‑day operations for Advise NC at NC State.
Supervise 23 Next Step Advisers, conduct biannual evaluations, monthly one‑on‑one meetings, and site visits.
Plan and lead annual recruitment of new Next Step Advisers.
Develop and facilitate in‑service training, including multi‑week summer training and regional meetings, webinars, and professional development opportunities.
Partner with the Director to nurture relationships with host institutions, community partners, high schools, districts, and stakeholders.
Develop marketing strategies, maintain social media presence, and create updated marketing materials; lead communication with program alumni and key stakeholders.
Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness, prepare internal and external reports, and assist in final program reports.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree and 2‑4 years of experience in postsecondary access programming or equivalent professional training.
Required: Passion for postsecondary access; excellent organizational and prioritization skills; communication and presentation skills; knowledge and experience in management, program structure, and process.
Preferred: N/A.
Required Licenses: Valid NC Driver’s License.
