Intake Specialist I

who will serve as the face of FreedomCare in the communities we serve in

Massachusetts .

This is a hybrid role with a required commute of 3 days per week into our Boston, MA office .

Responsibilities As an

Intake Specialist I

you will work closely with patients and caregivers to educate them on the application and enrollment process. You will be working closely with the Patient's Case Manager, as well as inter-departmental teams within the business to ensure a quick and efficient turn-around time to get them on Care. You will be providing seamless Customer Service experience, while ensuring that our clients are receiving the care they need. We value your can-do positive attitude and desire to turn a negative into a positive. You will receive excellent in-house training which will help you develop a thorough understanding of our program. Work closely with Patients and Caregivers to educate them and assist them on the application and enrollment process, with the goal of completing the eligibility process and onboarding the Patients and Caregivers to active Care status within state specified timeframes of the initial call to FreedomCare.

Ensure a seamless, complete, and effective enrollment process for all prospective clients into the AFC (Adult Foster Care) program

Be the initial point-of-contact for calls from prospective clients, caregivers or pending enrollees

Manage a high open caseload until the enrollment process is complete

Consistently meet monthly completed Start of Care (SOC)

Provide exceptional customer service and positive experience for potential patients/caregiver

Regular communication with a variety of medical providers, MCOs, and Case Management agencies regarding patient authorizations

Navigate multiple systems and portals to determine eligibility and obtain authorization

Regularly achieving monthly new enrollee goals

Maintain data input, scheduling, document uploading and initiate patient enrollment confirmation or rejection communications

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

Experience in high-volume inbound and outbound call environment

Motivated to help patients/caregivers with the drive to exceed open case targets and metrics

Must have poise and patience when dealing with clients

Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to comfortably resolve issues over the telephone

Computer proficiency required; strong typing skills and ability to leverage technology to identify, research and solve customer issues

Keen attention detail, metric driven, excellent time management skills

High empathy and collaborative team player

Flexibility and openness as the role and responsibilities may change and/or evolve as we grow

Nice-to-Haves

2+ years of relevant experience in a similar position is preferred

Healthcare/startup experience

Bilingual in Spanish or other languages, desired

Salesforce proficiency, desired

Medicaid knowledge, desired

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $18.00 and $22.00 an hour at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.

Compensation Range $20—$24 USD
