Role Description
BELL is seeking a Community Outreach Specialist to support and expand our community engagement efforts across San Diego. This is a part-time, contract position focused on building strong relationships with community partners, increasing program awareness, and supporting participant recruitment for BELL programs, including workshops, Smart Labs programming, and community events. This role plays a key part in advancing BELL’s mission of supporting entrepreneurs and creating equitable access to education, resources, and opportunity. Responsibilities
Engage directly with community members, partners, and organizations Conduct outreach at schools, community centers, and events Support participant recruitment for workshops and Smart Labs programming Collect community surveys and assist with reporting Represent BELL at outreach events and partner meetings Maintain contact logs and outreach documentation Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in community outreach or public-facing roles Familiarity with San Diego’s diverse communities Comfortable engaging with the public indoors and outdoors Basic Google Suite proficiency Must have reliable transportation to attend events and meetings Expected schedule: 20–30 hours per month Requires attending evening meetings and events To Apply
