Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for Process Design, Work Instruction Planning, and Aircraft Installation Support of machining and quick change assembly planning, evaluating designs for producibility, developing tooling and manufacturing plans for components, assemblies, and installations.
Interface with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Programs, Product Safety, and the supply base in an effort to resolve issues relating to the production and installation of harness and component assemblies. During the design phase, the candidate’s work will be exposed to generating work instructions and ordering tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of details, assemblies, and installations.
At the Program level candidate will potentially work with the design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
Who You Are Highly motivated and collaborative individual with a strong foundation in engineering principles and proficient in CAD software such as CATIA and SolidWorks. Possesses excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, enabling effective interface with cross‑functional teams to design, plan, and execute manufacturing processes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proficient with CAD software: CATIA, SolidWorks
Knowledge of Manufacturing/Machining
Knowledge in Inventor, SketchUp
Computer programming languages
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Skills
Familiarity in machining processes (turning, milling and grinding)
Planning of large assemblies
Familiarity with GD&T requirements
