Are you an experienced Emergency Department leader ready to take the next step in your career? We’re partnering with a respected, growing hospital in the San Antonio area seeking a Director of Emergency Services to guide a high-performing team and support continued expansion.
About the Opportunity This role oversees a busy, well‑established Emergency Department with approximately 50 beds and a strong, collaborative clinical culture. The facility is undergoing significant growth, including a major bed expansion planned in the coming years.
You will lead a young, energetic team with solid engagement scores and play a key role in driving quality, operational excellence, and patient-centered care.
What You’ll Do Quality & Patient Care
Advance evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes.
Ensure adherence to standards of care and regulatory expectations.
Oversee patient throughput, flow coordination, and efficient department operations.
Leadership & Staff Development
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support staff coaching, training, and development opportunities.
Lead and empower two Emergency Services Managers and additional support staff.
Operational Excellence
Manage department budgets, staffing, scheduling, and labor utilization.
Partner with nursing leadership and other departments to maintain smooth operations across care areas.
Growth & Strategic Planning
Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to expand services and support the hospital’s growth strategy.
Compensation & Incentives
Base Salary:
$130,000–$150,000 (commensurate with experience)
Bonuses:
$20,000 sign‑on bonus + annual incentive bonus potential of 17.5%–26.25%
Relocation:
Assistance available on a case‑by‑case basis

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
Master’s degree preferred
1+ year of recent Director‑level Emergency Department leadership
A highly accomplished Manager may be considered.
3+ years of recent Emergency Department experience
Strong leadership presence and the ability to drive accountability, engagement, and operational success.
Pay Details $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
