The Assistant Digital Manager role involves updating content, maintaining,

troubleshooting and assisting in the daily operations of all digital systems with a strong focus on digital signage and the guest mobile application. Ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational requirements is also a key component of this role.

This position reports to the Onboard Digital Manager who will assist in providing

support on all guest and crew-facing digital technologies. This role offers an excellent

opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in digital content management

while working in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support daily operations of digital signage and the guest mobile application.

Escalate unresolved technical or operational issues promptly to the Digital Manager or IT support.

Monitor daily content publishing, ensuring compliance with brand standards and operational needs.

Troubleshoot minor technical issues (network connectivity, media players, touchscreens) before escalating to IT.

Support guests at the App Help Desk during embarkation and are available throughout the voyage for app-related queries.

Act as the first point of contact for onboard teams regarding day-to-day app or signage issues.

Maintain updated databases of signage locations, equipment status, and error logs.

Train crew and designated users on proper use of digital systems.

Enter, format, and publish approved content for the app and signage under the guidance of the Digital Manager.

Ensure real-time updates are reflected accurately across signage and app displays.

Partner with IT and Technical teams on troubleshooting, networking, and repairs.

Prepare clear documentation and handover notes for seamless continuity.

Collaborate with the Digital Manager and departments such as M&R, F&B, Entertainment, and Guest Services to ensure content accuracy and consistency.

Conduct proactive checks before high-profile events (e.g., charters, safety drills, embarkation) to ensure digital systems are functioning correctly.

Identify opportunities for improvement in signage, workflows, and guest interaction based on onboard experience.

Track and log recurring issues in content publishing to support process improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in digital communications, media, IT, or related field (preferred).

Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital content management, signage systems, or similar technology platforms.

Strong technical aptitude with basic networking and troubleshooting knowledge.

Excellent communication skills and ability to train and support non-technical users.

Detail-oriented with a strong eye for content quality, accuracy, and design.

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Hospitality, travel, or cruise industry experience strongly preferred.

Comfortable working onboard a cruise ship for extended contracts (6–7 months).
