Who You’ll Work With
We are seeking a San Antonio - based Associate to join our Global Intermediaries, Sub Advised Strategic Relationship Group. This position plays a key role in supporting the servicing efforts of our Insurance and Non-Insurance Subadvised and Intermediary Sales teams. The Specialist will work closely with U.S. based Institutional Advisors, SRG Associates in Nashville, Institutional Client Managers, as well as teams in Institutional & Retail Operations, Legal, Portfolio Management, and other global partners. This role is essential in nurturing high-touch, highly regulated relationships with intermediaries and insurers, while effectively meeting their servicing needs. Understanding our firm’s mission and values as well as product offerings in the Institutional and Retail market. Proactive, thoughtful, high-quality client servicing through the following: client reporting/due diligence, preparation of marketing materials, and general troubleshooting in response to client inquiries. Working closely with the department head and relationship managers to develop strategic account plans aimed at strengthening relationships with partner firms and driving sales Coordinating and hosting client due diligence and prospecting meetings, including preparation with portfolio and product management teams. Partnering with internal business units including marketing, product management, sales, and operations to communicate partner firm updates and initiatives. Help maintain client management database and provide general support to Advisors. Assist with departmental projects and initiatives as needed. What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, or Economics, with excellence in academics and strong project leadership experience is a plus. Two years of relevant professional experience in sales or client service back-office operations with mutual funds is preferred. The candidate should embrace a culture of relentless ingenuity, be team-oriented, highly client-focused, organized, efficient and detail-oriented. Demonstrate good judgment, be able to take initiative and be proactive, and work well independently as well as within a team. Self-direction, the ability to establish project objectives and work independently to achieve goals, is required. Candidates must also have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, be detail oriented and have strong time management skills. Demonstrate initiative and good judgment coupled with the ability to work well under pressure. Series 7 & 66 licenses are encouraged. Professional, personable, and responsible in manner. Organized, thorough, and conscientious. Establishes priorities and follows through on tasks to completion. Candidates must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the confidence to thoughtfully assert his/her ideas with a broad audience. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Proficient in the use of typical office desktop packages, such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint, Visio and Access. About AB
