Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Order Entry Clerk. This role involves processing and documenting orders for steel joist manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Responsibilities Review and enter engineer-provided design information for steel joist manufacturing. Build complete shop packages for release to production. Input bills of materials and order data into internal software systems, with training provided. Process approved design changes and update documentation accordingly. Check final manufacturing packages for completeness and accuracy. Prepare and review special manufacturing details as needed. Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth order flow. Process approximately 23 moderately complex orders per week. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Solid math skills, including fractions. Basic computer proficiency. Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel at a data entry level. Ability to complete basic keyboarding, 10-key, and math assessments prior to hire. Additional Skills & Qualifications Office or administrative experience is preferred but not required. Exposure to construction or manufacturing environments is advantageous. Experience in data entry, order entry, and clerical tasks is beneficial. Basic understanding of construction or manufacturing processes is a plus. Work Environment This position is office-based and operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role offers advancement opportunities for motivated individuals, with potential growth into Detailer roles and opportunities for AutoCAD training or other technical and estimating-related positions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract To Hire position based out of Fernley, NV. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
