Location: Erie, PA Department: Showroom Position Summary: The Customer Service Representative / Orthotic Fitter plays a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for our customers. Working in a retail showroom and office setting, this position assists patients in person and by phone, provides accurate product fittings, and supports order processing and insurance verification. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer care in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist walk-in customers with professionalism, empathy, and respect. Answer incoming calls and respond to customer questions and concerns in a timely and courteous manner. Measure and fit patients for diabetic shoes, compression stockings, bras, and other medical products. Explain products and services clearly to help customers feel informed and comfortable. Process orders, manage medical software systems, and accept payments accurately. Obtain required medical documentation and authorizations to support customer orders. Verify insurance coverage and assist customers with related questions. Maintain clear and accurate customer notes, correspondence, and documentation. Balance multiple tasks while maintaining a positive and patient-focused approach. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked showroom and fitting rooms. Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet-based applications. Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills consistent with company policies and healthcare regulations. High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality service. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certification in orthotic and/or mastectomy fitting required. Previous experience in customer service or healthcare preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-oriented environment while maintaining a positive customer experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to alternate between sitting and standing as needed for customer measurements and fittings. Frequent keyboarding and data entry. Ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers through spoken word. Ability to hear and understand speech and other sounds. Visual acuity sufficient to work with small objects and read fine print at close distances.
