Deli Bakery Specialist
Description
As a Deli Bakery Specialist, your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service while preparing a wide variety of delicious deli and bakery items. At Carlie C's IGA, our commitment to friendly and efficient service is paramount. You will work with an assortment of products from crispy fried chicken to decadent 9-layer cakes, all while ensuring a clean and inviting environment for our customers.
Duties
Operate scales and printers, ensuring accurate tare weights.
Skillfully use and maintain meat and cheese slicers.
Manage chicken fryers, including monitoring and maintaining grease levels.
Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Understand and implement portion control effectively.
Monitor and maintain food temperature standards.
Operate ovens and proof boxes to create fresh baked goods.
Keep the sales area fully stocked and products rotated.
Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace.
Adhere to Carlie C's uniform standards.
Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Deli/Bakery Manager.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old, friendly, and outgoing.
Present a neat and clean appearance.
Enjoy working closely with the public.
Ability to follow instructions thoroughly.
Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
