Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Fulfillment Specialist plays an essential role in preparing, filling, and distributing prescriptions in line with client specifications. You will also maintain equipment and inventory while keeping accurate records pertaining to patient and drug information.
Your Responsibilities:
Assist the Pharmacist with reviewing, processing, preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications and supplies.
Verify prescription information for accuracy, including patient details, medication specifics, and refill information.
Communicate with Patient Service Center representatives to promote medication compliance and ensure smooth operations.
Manage delivery receipts for all prescriptions that are delivered.
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, privacy laws, and other regulations.
Maintain accurate records, including prescription logs.
Receive, store, and log inventory while promptly addressing stock shortages.
Collaborate with inventory specialists on medication expiration reviews and prepare outdated medications for disposal.
Post payments and shipments to maintain precise account activity.
Evaluate completed prescriptions for compliance with standards.
Follow up on pending prescriptions and communicate any discrepancies.
Resolve issues related to order delays.
Conduct Quality Assurance checks on pharmacy equipment and shipping processes.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in pharmacy operations or logistics.
Valid State Pharmacy Technician License or commitment to complete approved technician training within one year of hire.
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience as a specialty pharmacy technician with prescription fulfillment.
National certification through the PTCB or another recognized agency.
Experience in inventory or logistics control.

Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy language.
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
Physical Demands:
Work activities are performed indoors.
Exposure to noise or vibrations may occur.
Physical activities may include reaching, handling, standing, bending, and sitting for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
