
Responsibilities
Perform duties related to awarding and disbursing student financial aid in the student information system.
Complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and in compliance with federal, state, and institutional rules and regulations.
Employ critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to resolve issues and deliver accurate and timely financial aid awards.
Maintain spreadsheets of awards for tracking purposes.
Create and/or generate reports, forms, or other tools necessary for awarding decisions.
Assist with gathering data for reports.
Verify information for outside agencies and perform general administrative tasks for the department.
Perform other duties as assigned to be department objectives.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma.
Experience: Minimum of one year in a professional office setting with computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Team‑oriented environment and strong organizational and task‑management skills.
Experience with data integrity and accuracy is preferred.
General familiarity with collegiate financial aid is preferred.
Compensation $18.50 per hour. This is a Union position with a salary Grade of 109. Salary determination is subject to the SBU Collective Bargaining Agreement.
