Job Title Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily (Bilingual)

Job Description Summary The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining our communities to a market‑ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. Assistant Property Managers also build and motivate high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.

Bilingual required.

$29/hour, eligible for benefits and additional earnings.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast‑paced environment.

Assist the Property Manager with overall operations, including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.

Assist the Property Manager with providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.

Complete lease and renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.

Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic.

Assist the team by maintaining and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.

Assist the Property Manager with day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, ensuring that all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are followed.

Maintain effective on‑site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.

Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.

Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.

Manage and maintain all aspects of overall community budget and finances.

Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing and marketing goals are met.

Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Determine leasing opportunities for staff and work on goal setting to improve each staff member’s performance.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the team, ensuring all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are followed.

Be able to manage a team.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

IMPORTANT EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

High School Diploma, GED, or technical/vocational school required.

Important Experience

3+ years of property management experience.

1+ year of management experience.

Bilingual in Spanish required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. It also requires regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job duties include standing and walking for extended periods, ascending and descending staircases, ladders, and/or step stools, and traveling outside between buildings. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) 85% of the time, use office machinery, travel up to 15% of the time, and exert up to 25 pounds as needed for lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects.

Compensation will depend on factors such as collective bargaining agreements, geographic area, market pay rates, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The position’s pay range is $24.65 to $29.00 per hour, and the minimum wage will not be paid for this role.
