Team Overview The group is responsible for valuing and monitoring a diverse portfolio of private investments. The team partners closely with investment professionals to evaluate portfolio company performance, assess market conditions, and support key functions across the organization, including accounting, compliance, investor relations, business development, and analytics.
Role Overview The firm is seeking an Analyst to join its team. This individual will play a hands‑on role in valuation work, portfolio monitoring, and cross‑functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Support the onboarding of newly originated investments in coordination with underwriting teams
Conduct monthly valuations of illiquid securities and periodically present findings to internal committees
Perform independent valuation analyses incorporating financial statements, deal structures, market data, and other relevant inputs
Build and maintain financial models to track issuer performance over time
Assist in preparing quarterly portfolio review materials and occasionally present to senior investment staff
Collaborate with internal groups such as investment teams, investor relations, business development, technology, and analytics
Coordinate with external valuation firms, auditors, and other third‑party service providers
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
1–3 years of experience in financial consulting, investment banking, asset management, public accounting, valuation services, or credit rating analysis
Strong understanding of debt instruments and capital structures
Experience with valuation methodologies, three‑statement modeling, and financial analysis
High proficiency in Excel; familiarity with tools such as Capital IQ or FactSet is beneficial
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to excel in a collaborative, high‑intensity environment
Demonstrated interest in investing and fundamental company analysis
Based in New York with a hybrid work structure
