
Job Description
Based on the established brand and communications strategies, this role will adapt campaigns and tactics to a variety of segment and audience targets and be responsible for the execution and project management of activities in support of division sales and share growth goals. The role will be primarily focused on supporting internal and external communication for the Sherwin-Williams Industrial Wood direct and distribution brands' content programs and tactics in North America. This role will be expected to support the marketing communications team in all aspects of collateral creation, campaign support, digital marketing, trade shows, internal events and administrative tasks, as appropriate.
The Assistant Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Marketing Communications Manager and is based on-site at the Sherwin - Williams headquarters based in Cleveland, OH.
This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to our office in Cleveland, Ohio
Responsibilities
Lead creating, executing and maintaining engaging programs for our distribution brands (M.L. Campbell, Sayerlack, ICA, Autumn Mill, Roo-Glue and Klumpp) Assist on implementation of the Industrial Wood Divisions Integrated Marketing Plan and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute (product launches, programs, collateral, etc.) Coordinate projects and requests and clearly communicate strategy, timeline and budgets for those projects to Creative Services and Digital Marketing teams. Work with Marketing Communications Manager to develop content creation that aligns with business goals, including the creation of demo videos, product literature, color trend materials, and other promotional/sales support pieces as needed. Coordinate digital programs including outbound email, website management and social programs with team Collaborate with Industrial Wood MarCom team members to develop and oversee successful demand and lead generation campaigns throughout the year, including product launches, segment nurture, and color and design campaigns. Understand measurement of campaign effectiveness and report to leadership and to peers in formal debrief sessions. Manage merchandising programs for both Sherwin-Williams and M.L. Campbell Assist in event management including external tradeshows- including creating messaging, managing registration and housing and ideating on innovated ways to promote our brands pre and post-show. Co-lead the Industrial Wood National Sales meeting - coordinating registration, team building and awards session development, and messaging internal vendor show booth to highlight new program and product launches. Collaborate with Industrial Wood Brand Management team and Creative Services team to establish and maintain brand guidelines. Collaborate with Marketing Communications team on Industrial Wood North America and Distribution SharePoint sites to ensure all content is managed, organized and easily accessible to the Industrial Wood selling organizations and stakeholders. Support Sales team with internal webinar presentation & content development Manage inventory and ensure accurate stocking of all marketing collateral and sales materials across internal and external vendor locations Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
5+ years of integrated marketing communications experience. Outstanding writing and content development skills Adept at collaborating with diverse teams to achieve project goals Highly proficient in key Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel and Word) Familiarity with maintaining critical marketing communications processes and platforms (website, marketing automation, social media, etc.) Experience in planning tradeshows and working with third-party vendors and agencies Travel Requirements
