Coordinator, Donor Relations and Stewardship (Regular, Full-Time)
Development
Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Coordinator, Donor Relations and Stewardship supports a range of activities related to donor communications, recognition initiatives, event-related stewardship, and reporting. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the museum, the Coordinator contributes to the delivery of thoughtful, accurate, and timely donor engagement that reflects donors’ support of the museum’s mission. The Coordinator also provides day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Development Operations and assists with special projects as needed.
Responsibilities
Implements department process for reviewing and approving donor recognition in Insider, LACMA’s donor magazine, ensuring details are accurate, up to date, and reflect current gift information
Processes art-donor acknowledgment letters for all outright, in-kind, and promised gifts, coordinating with Curatorial, Registration and Collections to confirm donor language and object details, ensuring acknowledgments are sent promptly and recorded in Tessitura
Assists with maintaining donor recognition on LACMA’s campus up to date, ensuring plaques, walls, and other on-site acknowledgments are accurate and reflect current donor information
Coordinates stewardship for LACMA’s annual galas and other museum events, including thank-you letters, sponsor recognition, follow-up communications, and overseeing the gift process from sourcing items to tracking timelines and delivery
Prepares endowment and restricted-fund reports by collecting financial and impact information, ensuring all reports are accurate, clear, and delivered on schedule
Partners with internal museum stakeholders to maintain consistent donor information and recognition standards in Tessitura
Ensures stewardship records, templates, and processes are organized and up to date
Writes and prepares art donor notes and letters, manages mailings, and assists with day-to-day stewardship needs.
Provides day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Development Operations and assists with special projects as needed
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
The expected hourly rate for this Los Angeles, CA based position is $24.00-$25.00, subject to change, and the position is eligible for LACMA's comprehensive benefits package, including pension plan.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Art History
Minimum of two years of experience with a museum or donor-based organization
Experience in a fundraising environment is strongly preferred
Experience with Google Suite, Adobe Suite, Basecamp, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tessitura, or an equivalent ticketing and donor database software
