Estimator II (Phoenix, AZ) - Austin Commercial

Estimator II Perform a variety of estimating duties associated with the development of detailed construction estimates through quantity take‑offs and interaction with subcontractors and suppliers. Develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions; identify conflicts or missing data and obtain clarification on plans and specifications from design professionals. Distribute bid documents, develop unit costs, and apply knowledge of building designs, systems, and construction materials through available resources. Understand the project/program and its requirements, obtain and review proposals and quotes by subcontractors or vendors, and perform detailed review of all documents—including specifications—to identify onerous requirements. Build relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and architects.

Additionally, evaluate and hire concrete, masonry, and exterior subcontractors; update construction schedules; manage quality control and turnover processes; and prepare RFIs and perform drawing updates.

Qualifications Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, and at least two years of experience performing quantity take‑offs, drawing analysis, estimation, and cost‑control. Experience in evaluating and hiring subcontractors, updating construction schedules, managing quality control, preparing RFIs, and performing drawing updates is required.
