
Fabtronic Inc. is seeking an experienced Mold Maker/Designer/Machinist to join our innovative team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining molds used in our plastic injection molding processes. Your expertise and creativity will be crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet the stringent demands of the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
Design molds using CAD software and other design tools while adhering to project specifications
Fabricate and assemble molds using CNC machining and traditional machining techniques
Test and troubleshoot molds to ensure optimal performance and quality
Collaborate with engineering teams to refine mold designs and implement improvements
Document the mold-making process, including detailed drawings and specifications
Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on existing molds to extend their lifespan
Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices within the machining environment
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in a relevant field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mold making, design, and machining
Proficiency in CAD software and CNC machining
Strong understanding of mold design principles and fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Benefits Compensation will be determined by experience, with a 4-day work week and health insurance provided. Typically, you will enjoy 3-day weekends, except during peak workload periods.
