Compensation:

Description We’re looking for a
Senior SEO Strategist
to lead enterprise-level organic growth strategies across traditional search and modern discovery channels, including AI-powered SERPs, Google AI Overviews, and large language models (LLMs).
In this role, you’ll own both strategy and execution for a portfolio of enterprise and high-growth clients. You’ll act as a trusted, client-facing advisor—translating complex technical and strategic SEO concepts into clear, actionable guidance for senior marketing leaders and executive stakeholders, as well as internal team members.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone with deep SEO experience who understands that modern SEO is about more than rankings—it’s about sustainable visibility, authority, and influence across how people and machines discover information today. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and leveling up other members of the SEO team, helping define best practices and raise the bar for execution across accounts.
Strong technical SEO expertise is required, and ecommerce experience is a plus, particularly for complex sites with large catalogs, faceted navigation, and advanced tracking needs.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end SEO strategy and execution for a portfolio of enterprise clients, from discovery and roadmap creation through implementation and reporting
Develop sophisticated strategies that account for:
Traditional organic search performance
Google AI Overviews and evolving SERP layouts
Brand visibility and accuracy within LLM-driven discovery (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.)
On-site content optimization tied to business KPIs
Serve as the primary SEO lead and strategic advisor for clients, confidently presenting recommendations to senior marketers and C‑suite stakeholders
Guide prioritization and decision-making by balancing impact, effort, technical constraints, and business goals
Lead advanced keyword research, collaborate with the content team to create content architecture, and pillar/collection strategies informed by user intent, competitive landscapes, and AI retrieval patterns
Own and execute technical SEO initiatives
Provide technical guidance to developers, content teams, and stakeholders, translating SEO needs into clear implementation requirements
Define and own SEO measurement frameworks for enterprise clients using GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and emerging AI visibility tools
Collaborate closely with Content, Paid Media, Analytics, and Client Success teams to ensure SEO is integrated into broader marketing strategies
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of progressive SEO experience, ideally within an agency or enterprise environment
Proven experience owning and executing long‑term, enterprise-level SEO strategies
Deep technical SEO expertise
Strong understanding of analytics and measurement (GA4, GSC, GTM)
Hands‑on experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and similar platforms
Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Nice to Have
Ecommerce SEO experience (large catalogs, faceted navigation, feed‑driven pages, etc.)
Experience optimizing for AI Overviews and LLM‑driven discovery
Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or headless CMS setups
Comfort experimenting with AI tools and automation to improve workflows and insight
How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a short written response answering the following:
Describe a technical SEO issue you independently identified and resolved.
Include what signaled the problem, how you approached the diagnosis, the actions you took without being directed, and the impact of your work.
We’re looking for someone who can spot issues, form opinions, and move work forward with minimal handholding—especially when it comes to technical SEO.
