Join us at Grand Canyon Education and begin your career helping Grand Canyon University students succeed! We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Columbus, OH territory in this unique community‑based opportunity. Starting salary is

$75,000

per year with an earning potential of a six‑figure income after 5 years of successful service as an Account Executive/University Development Counselor.

Requirements

Must live within 30 miles of Columbus, OH

New hire training will be held in‑person at our Phoenix, AZ campus

Typical Responsibilities

Strategy and execution: Identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory, build awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare and business, and drive inquiry generation. Shape high‑impact partnerships and execute daily work through informational presentations, calls and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.

Partner and influencer: Use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families and partners. Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth through in‑person, phone and email interactions.

Heart and Hustle: This remote role has ambitious targets. Working independently, use out‑of‑the‑box critical thinking to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process and guide them toward a successful online learning experience.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree required. No delinquent or defaulted federal student loan on your credit report; if in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must show you are current on payments.

Outstanding time management skills: prioritize competing priorities while traveling.

Clear communication skills: explain complex concepts to anyone and communicate confidently in person, in writing, and on the phone. Strong listening skills required.

Self‑motivation and drive to succeed: volunteer for new challenges without being asked and take ownership of student interactions to make a real difference.

High emotional intelligence: coach a diverse range of Grand Canyon University students and nurture partner relationships; empathy is key.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, flexible schedule, clean driving record, and willingness to travel with extensive territory coverage. Availability for evenings and weekends may be required.

Computer literacy: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
