Position Summary
The Relationship Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding a portfolio of commercial and business banking relationships. This role is a primary driver of both loan and deposit growth, serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and key referral partners while delivering a full suite of credit, treasury, and deposit solutions. The Relationship Manager will focus on new business development, portfolio management, cross-selling, and retention while maintaining strong credit quality and compliance with bank policies. Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
Proactively source and close new commercial relationships to meet or exceed loan and core deposit growth goals. Develop calling plans and referral strategies targeting local businesses, professionals, and community partners. Generate new loan production across C&I, owner-occupied CRE, and non-owner occupied CRE. Drive core deposit growth through operating accounts and treasury management services. Participate in pipeline meetings, portfolio reviews, and strategic planning. Represent the bank at community, networking, and business development events. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients. Conduct regular relationship reviews to identify growth, retention, and risk opportunities. Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and credit quality. Coordinate with credit, operations, and treasury teams to deliver timely service. Structure loans consistent with bank policy, regulatory guidance, and risk appetite. Prepare complete and accurate credit packages, including financial analysis and cash flow assessment. Present credit requests to loan committees as needed. Identify and address early warning signs of credit deterioration. Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of commercial banking or business lending experience. Proven track record of generating new loans and deposits. Strong credit analysis and financial statement interpretation skills. Existing local business and referral network preferred. Excellent relationship, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong understanding of treasury management and deposit products. Salary Range: $120,000 - 150,000 Medical Insurance Health Savings Account w/ company contribution
