Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .

In 2017, the foundation launched

Goalkeepers , a high-profile initiative designed to accelerate progress on the SDGs through

data-driven storytelling, global events, media engagement, and cultural influence .

The

Senior Communications Officer, Champion Engagement and Creative Partnerships

leads the foundation’s strategy for working with

global cultural champions , including

artists, creators, and public figures , transforming these partnerships into impactful advocacy campaigns, media moments, and creative collaborations across key global markets.

Tasks Champion Engagement Strategy

Lead and implement

global champion engagement strategies

across priority regions including the

U.S., U.K., Germany, India, Nigeria, and South Africa

Identify, recruit, and manage a diverse network of

celebrities, creators, and cultural leaders

aligned with the Goalkeepers mission

Design

custom engagement plans

outlining objectives, messaging, and activation opportunities

Organize and deliver

learning trips

for champions, connecting them with local partners and experts

Provide strategic guidance to ensure

authentic, mission-aligned partnerships

Relationship Management

Build and maintain trusted relationships with champions and their professional teams

Serve as the primary liaison, managing communications, logistics, and long‑term stewardship

Operate with

high discretion and professionalism

in visible, high‑profile environments

Creative Content & Media Partnerships

Collaborate with internal teams to deliver

storytelling campaigns, digital content, and media projects

Develop partnerships with

media outlets, production companies, and creative agencies

Oversee creative outputs including

videos, interviews, social media, and experiential content

Event Integration

Integrate champions into major

Goalkeepers global events , including New York and regional activations

Support planning and execution of panels, appearances, and media engagements

Coordinate closely with events and media relations teams

Measurement & Learning

Track performance of champion activations using

audience data and insights

Analyze reach, engagement, and influence of partnerships

Share lessons learned to strengthen future global engagement strategies

Qualifications Education and Certification

Bachelor’s degree in

communications, marketing, public relations , or related field (required)

Master’s degree (preferred)

Experience

Significant experience in

strategic communications, talent relations, or partnership management

Proven track record working with

celebrities, creators, and cultural leaders

Experience delivering

high‑profile partnerships

from concept to execution

Strong background in

creative content development and media collaborations

Deep understanding of

global culture, influence dynamics, and donor‑market media landscapes

Salary Range (Global):

USD 212,800 – 329,800

High‑Wage Markets (Seattle/DC):

USD 234,000 – 362,800
