SUMMARY: Island Federal Credit Union is seeking a
Marketing Manager – Lifecycle Marketing & Digital Communications
to design and execute personalized onboarding and lifecycle communications that deepen Member relationships and accelerate product adoption. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, this role will build and optimize multi‑channel programs (email, direct mail, and in‑branch collateral) tailored to Member demographics, initial product selection, and propensity for cross‑sell.
The ideal candidate combines strong CRM/lifecycle marketing expertise with comfort in analytics and performance attribution (UTMs, GA4), an understanding of APIs and marketing system integrations, and basic web development skills (WordPress) to create landing pages that maximize engagement and conversion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Member Onboarding Programs
Own the development and optimization of
customized onboarding journeys
for new Members across
email, direct mail, and in‑branch collateral .
Build segmentation and messaging variations based on:
Demographics
Product opened at account origination
Engagement behavior and channel preferences
Propensity for cross‑sell
and relationship deepening
Coordinate creative and production workflows (internal and/or vendor partners) to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand and compliance expectations.
Establish a testing roadmap (A/B testing) to improve engagement and conversion performance over time.
Lifecycle & Triggered Communications (CRM-Driven)
Build and maintain lifecycle programs in the CRM, including targeted campaigns such as:
Certificate of Deposit renewal communications
Refinance opportunity campaigns
for Members with credit cards or auto loans elsewhere
Cross‑sell, retention, reactivation, and product deepening programs
Implement trigger-based communications (event‑, time‑, and behavior‑driven) that are timely, relevant, and measurable.
Landing Pages & Conversion Enablement
Build and optimize
WordPress landing pages
and campaign experiences designed to increase engagement and conversions.
Apply conversion best practices (clear value propositions, friction reduction, forms optimization) and ensure consistent campaign‑to‑landing‑page alignment.
Analytics, ROI, and Executive Reporting
Own campaign tracking and performance measurement, including:
UTM conventions
and governance
GA4
measurement plans and reporting
Funnel performance analysis and conversion insights
Provide regular performance readouts to the
Vice President of Marketing , highlighting results, insights, opportunities, and recommended optimizations.
Data, Integrations, and MarTech Enablement
Utilize and/or coordinate use of
APIs and integrations
between CRM, web platforms, and analytics tools to support personalization and performance measurement.
Partner cross-functionally (and with vendors as needed) to improve data quality, segmentation accuracy, and campaign effectiveness.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, English or Design plus 2 years of equivalent job‑related experience
3+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle, retention, or digital marketing , ideally in Credit Union/banking or another regulated industry.
Demonstrated experience building
segmented, personalized, multi‑step onboarding and lifecycle campaigns .
Strong working knowledge of:
UTM strategy
and campaign tracking
GA4
and conversion measurement
Email marketing best practices and deliverability fundamentals
WordPress
proficiency (building pages, updating content, basic troubleshooting).
Familiarity with
APIs
and marketing technology integrations (hands‑on or through requirements definition and partner collaboration).
Comfort with basic HTML/CSS for email and landing page enhancements.
Experience with dashboarding/reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI) and experimentation programs.
Key Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to prioritize, pay close attention to detail, and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
