DESCRIPTION: AWS is seeking a Principal Account Leader for one of the most important customer relationships in our global games business. This customer is a leading developer and publisher of some of the most played games on the planet, with a player base in the hundreds of millions and a long track record of technical innovation.
This is a high-visibility role focused on deepening a large and active cloud partnership. The ideal candidate is located on the west side of Los Angeles and is able to support regular in-person engagement, typically one to two days per week on campus.
You will be one of two Account Execs responsible for managing a substantial existing business while also identifying and accelerating new areas of growth. These include artificial intelligence and machine learning, data transformation, developer enablement, and global infrastructure optimization. Success in this role requires operating as a business owner-someone who is comfortable with complexity, deeply curious, and focused on long-term customer impact.
This is a senior-level role. You will be expected to lead with strategic thinking, collaborate across AWS and customer teams, and bring together the right technical, product, and executive stakeholders to move outcomes forward. Experience in gaming, media, or platform businesses is a plus, especially when paired with an ability to navigate large engineering organizations.
Key job responsibilities As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will drive digital transformation through meaningful engagement with C-level executives, IT leaders, architects, developers, and various lines of businesses of your customers. In this role, you will represent the entire portfolio of AWS products and services across the strategic accounts you manage within the Enterprise customer market segment. With AWS, our customers benefit from the fastest pace of innovation, the broadest and deepest functionality, the most secure computing environment, and the most proven operational expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a large and multifaceted cloud relationship with one of the world's top game developers and publishers
Identify, scope, and drive growth areas across AIML, data and analytics, infrastructure, and developer platforms
Collaborate with technical specialists, support teams, and AWS leadership to ensure customer success
Act as a trusted advisor and advocate within the customer's organization, from developers to senior leadership
Develop and execute a forward-looking account plan grounded in business priorities and measurable outcomes
Strong business acumen with the ability to act as a strategic partner to product and engineering leaders
Proven success managing both mature lines of business and emerging opportunities
Demonstrate Learn & Be Curious when looking at the consumer side of the assigned customer.
About the team The team is made up of passionate account executives and technical experts focused on customer outcomes and durability of relationship. Led by a Senior Sales leader with over a decade of industry experience, we work with the market makers and take seriously our ability to impact billions of players.

Travel is part of this role. The customer and our office are located on the West side of LA. We are expecting to be on either campus 2-3 days per week. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent - Experience with AWS and technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
