Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
• Implement treatment plans developed by the physical therapist with attention to safety and progress
• Monitor and document patient responses, making timely notes in the care plan
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
• Support safe patient transfers and use of mobility aids while promoting independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing with the state of Oklahoma
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Compassionate approach with the ability to motivate and encourage patients
• Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply

Education

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of therapeutic exercise principles and patient mobility techniques
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of safe patient handling, transfers, and assistive devices
• Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and adapt to patient needs
• Strong observational skills to track patient progress and report concerns
