fine art logistics and distribution business

is seeking a

Director of Accounting

to lead and scale its U.S. accounting function. The company operates across the U.S. and UK and is looking for a hands-on, strategic accounting leader to oversee operations, manage and develop a growing team, and partner closely with global finance leadership. Oversee all accounting activities for the U.S. division, ensuring compliance with

UK GAAP

and internal accounting policies

Lead the

month-end and year-end close

processes, delivering timely and accurate financial reporting to Group Finance

Act as the primary U.S. accounting lead for

external audits , including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with auditors

Own U.S.

local and state tax filings , partnering with external advisors as needed

Provide

technical accounting guidance

and ensure alignment with group-wide accounting standards

Serve as a key stakeholder in the ongoing

development and optimization of NetSuite ERP

Drive initiatives to

streamline reporting, improve processes, and increase efficiency

across the U.S. accounting function

Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across finance and operations teams in the U.S.

Deliver

ad-hoc analysis and reporting

to the Group Financial Controller and senior leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, including performance management and career development planningTeam Leadership

Profile

Proven experience in a

senior accounting leadership role

(Director or equivalent)

Background in a

multi-unit or multi-entity environment

(highly desirable)

Strong knowledge of

UK GAAP

and U.S. accounting operations

Experience working within a

global organization

Hands-on experience with

NetSuite ERP

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to thrive in a

fast-paced, high-growth environment
