The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida's (USAO-SDFL) mission is to enforce and defend the laws of the United States of America through the prosecution of criminal cases brought by the Federal government; the prosecution and defense of civil cases in which the United States is a party; and the collection of debts owed to the Federal government that are administratively uncollectible. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment) support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of Florida, located in Miami, Florida, focusing in the areas of staffing and recruitment. Typical work assignments will include: The incumbent provides a variety of management advisory services to recruit for positions using automated staffing and recruitment tools for the collective United States Attorney's Offices (USAO's) serviced by the district's DE Umbrella and the USASDFL. The incumbent provides technical and management advisory support services for the full range of delegated examining actions in the USAOs serviced by the USASDFL Delegated Examining Unit. The incumbent coordinates hiring activity reports for collective USAOs and ensures proper and timely submission. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying: To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must possess: Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Providing technical advice and assistance to management regarding staffing and recruitment actions Serving as a consultant to management on personnel matters to provide recommendations on complex human resources problem cases Utilizing automated staffing tools to conduct a variety of recruitment outreach efforts Preparing recurring hiring activity reports to provide to customers All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
