Position Summary

The DHRA provides strategic leadership in Human Resources aligned with Oliver Gospel's mission, vision, and values, and oversight of financial and administrative processes. Partnering with the Executive Director and Leadership Team, this role designs staffing strategies, fosters a thriving culture, and implements best practices in talent management, organizational development, and financial stewardship. This key position will lead initiatives to improve retention, strengthen employee engagement, and position Oliver Gospel as an employer of choice in the nonprofit sector. Additionally, this leader will ensure continued ECFA certification and work to achieve Best Christian Workplace Institute Certification.

Position Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic leadership partner in organizational design and staffing strategy Lead and manage programs to promote excellence across the organization and embed Oliver Gospel's values into all practices, ensuring a Christ-centered workplace culture that enhances the employee experience. Lead in creating/optimizing processes and programs related to benefits, compensation, wellness, training, performance management, professional development, and employee engagement and resiliency Develop and execute strategies to position Oliver Gospel as an employer of choice, and certified Best Christian Workplace Lead a team consisting of business/finance manager and administrative talent Maintain and update job descriptions, and employee handbook Ensure legal compliance and best practices in HR policies and procedures Provide guidance and support to staff on employment-related matters Keep leadership informed on employment law and HR trends Establish measurable goals for retention, engagement, and certification progress; monitor and report HR metrics (turnover, engagement, time-to-hire) weekly to the Leadership Team Position Qualifications:

Masters level education in combination of Human Resources and Business/Finance, or equivalent proven experience Documented hands-on and leadership experience in Human Resources Broad knowledge of nonprofit leadership, with familiarity in programs, development, and operations, experience in budgeting, audit, and financial statements Proven excellence in improving employee experience in a mission-driven organization. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and strategic planning skills Proficiency in HRIS/talent/payroll systems and software, ADP and QuickBooks preferred. SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred Core Competencies
