Senior Director of Human Resources and Talent Management
REPORTS TO:
Chief Operating Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Director of Human Resources and Talent Management is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing Wyman's people strategy. This role oversees all aspects of Human Resources including employment engagement, performance management, DEI initiatives, and compliance. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Senior Director of Human Resources and Talent Management fosters a culture that reflects and advances our mission through strategic and value-aligned performance with a commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Champion and advance employee engagement and organizational culture and climate. Set HR strategy aligned with organizational values including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management. Develop strategic vision and direction for people management and employee life cycle inclusive of but not limited to: agency wide staff onboarding process, recruitment strategy, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent. Partner with HR staff to monitor and ensure the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance. Assess existing people systems and initiatives to determine what should be sustained or redesigned. Design and support the implementation of Wyman's performance review processes. Establish and manage an annual budget for Human Resources and provide guidance to other department heads on HR related expenses. Serve as advisor to senior leadership team on people related matters. Develop and administer workforce planning and succession strategies to support long-term sustainability of talent. Sets annual department goals consistent with Wyman's Strategic Framework and effectively leads the HR department to achieve goals and objectives on time, on plan, and on budget. Oversee the administration of payroll, employee benefits, (including annual renewals), and the personnel manual. Lead the roll out and adoption of HR initiatives; build trust and navigate any resistance across departments. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Acts as a trusted and proactive advisor to the COO on matters related to Human Resources. Facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures all HR solutions support Wyman's strategy and operational realities. Serves on Wyman's Senior Management Team and participates in committees and special projects as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
Experience with HRIS and people systems, including implementation and adoption. Ability to use systems and data to support consistency, compliance, and decision-making.
