We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Director of Human Resources and Payroll to be a vital part of our expanding team. In this key role, you will manage all facets of HR and payroll operations, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and standards, while creating strategic initiatives that foster growth and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
Design and execute HR strategies and programs that support our overall business objectives.
Effectively mediate between management and employees by resolving demands, grievances, and various concerns.
Lead the recruitment and selection process to attract top talent.
Enhance and manage a performance appraisal system that drives excellence.
Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they remain competitive.
Evaluate training needs and implement robust training programs.
Provide insights to management through HR metrics and analytics.
Ensure compliance in all aspects of human resource management.
Payroll Management
Supervise payroll operations to guarantee timely and precise compensation for employees.
Manage both regular and off-cycle payroll processing efficiently.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and best practices.
Oversee payroll preparation and reconciliation prior to submission.
Maintain strong relationships with banks and payroll service providers.
Spot opportunities for process improvements and tech enhancements.
Handle audits conducted by external entities or government agencies.
Strategic Planning and Leadership
Assist in formulating the HR and payroll department's objectives and systems.
Revise and implement company policies and procedures.
Provide strategic leadership by articulating HR and payroll strategies to the executive management team.
Lead and mentor a team of HR and payroll professionals.
Create a positive work culture that aligns with company values.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 8 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions, including compensation, benefits, recruitment, and training.
Strong understanding of payroll processes and applicable laws and regulations.
Experience with HR and payroll software platforms, such as ADP, Workday, or SAP.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
