With offices across North America, we provide a range of solutions including business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance. What you will be doing. As the Director of Human Resources, you will lead the HR function within our St. Louis, MO and Overland Park, KS offices. Working within a matrix structure, you will play a key role in executing local initiatives related to recruitment, staffing, compensation, compliance, employee relations, and training and development. This position is also part of the local leadership team. Your key responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the Regional HR leadership team to craft and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent. Ensuring HR practices comply with federal and state regulations while applying best practices to mitigate company risk. Partnering with local leadership to identify key priorities that align with MMA's strategic goals. Providing coaching and guidance to leadership and management on a variety of colleague-related topics. Overseeing the design and implementation of compensation and career path initiatives. Supporting local performance management by facilitating feedback, development, and ongoing coaching. Leading the local HR team to deliver exceptional HR services. Who we are looking for. 7+ years of HR leadership experience with a strong generalist background in a professional services environment. Proficiency in HR employment law, policies/practices, recruiting, and benefits management. Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Detail-oriented with superb organizational and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency; experience in a sales organization is a plus. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. A proven track record in managing change within fast-paced environments. Capability to build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers. Willingness to travel to assigned locations as needed. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.
