Key Responsibilities:
Execute HR programs that align with business strategies, streamline policies, and enhance HR effectiveness.
Partner with HR leadership and Operations to design engagement and communication plans promoting a culture of trust and collaboration.
Advise and train leaders on employee relations practices and strategies to enhance experiences across the workforce.
Provide executive leadership with insights on labor relations strategies, trends, and best practices.
Develop and implement policies that promote a fair, equitable, and safe work environment.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting labor relations, providing proactive recommendations.
Apply employee relations expertise to identify concerns and foster a culture of high engagement.
Collaborate with leadership to address policy and HR issues, driving sustainable cultural change.
Promote a positive employee experience through initiatives based on feedback from surveys and open-door policies.
Facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders (HR, Benefits, Legal, Risk) to address concerns holistically and proactively.
Conduct research and analyze employee relations trends.
Take ownership of leadership development within the Plant HR team, including performance evaluations and coaching.
Conduct daily floor walks to build relationships with employees and proactively address dissatisfaction.
Implement an integrated communications strategy to inform and engage the employee population.
Work closely with safety and occupational health leads to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Utilize lean methodologies to guide decision making and drive operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law, or equivalent education.
3-5 years in a leadership role focused on employee relations or strategic HR leadership in a manufacturing setting.
Experience supporting large workforces (over 1,000 employees).
Willingness to travel 30-40%, if needed.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law.
Prior experience in supporting startup facilities.
Experience building programs that positively impact engagement.
Ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
Fluency in multiple languages.
Prior experience in operations management.
