
Senior Regulatory Specialist – Pesticides (Contract)
Location:
Hybrid – Trumbull, CT (In office Wednesday/Thursday; remote Monday, Tuesday, Friday) Additional Onsite Requirement:
1x/month in Stamford, CT Compensation:
40-45/hr DOQ Type:
Contract (12 months, potential 6-month extension)
Overview This hybrid contract role leads U.S. pesticide regulatory registration and compliance initiatives for
consumer pest control products
(residential use), with agricultural pesticide experience also acceptable. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality, compliant submissions aligned with commercial objectives.
The role requires hands‑on expertise with
FIFRA registrations, EPA engagement, data generation, and emissions reporting , supporting timely product registrations and business development goals.
Local candidates in the Connecticut area are strongly preferred and will receive priority consideration. If local options are exhausted, fully remote candidates in other U.S. states may be considered, provided they can work on an
Eastern Time
schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage U.S. pesticide product registration, safety, and compliance activities within defined scope, timelines, and quality standards.
Prepare, submit, and manage U.S. EPA pesticide registration applications, including
labels, offers-to-pay, data packages, and amendments .
Develop and execute registration strategies aligned with product launch timelines and business objectives.
Coordinate
data generation, efficacy testing, emissions reporting , and data matrices to support cost‑effective and timely registrations.
Manage multiple concurrent registration projects while collaborating with cross‑functional teams (R&D, EHS, product, and commercial).
Serve as the primary liaison with the
U.S. EPA
and relevant
state regulatory agencies
on registration‑related matters.
Ensure compliance with applicable
FIFRA , federal, and state pesticide regulations.
Identify and track regulatory risks, issues, and milestones; provide clear status updates and actionable recommendations.
Support documentation, change impacts, and lifecycle management activities related to new or updated registrations.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of hands‑on experience
in U.S. pesticide product registration.
Direct experience preparing and submitting
EPA pesticide registrations and labels .
Strong working knowledge of
FIFRA
and U.S. federal and state pesticide regulations.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex regulatory projects simultaneously.
Direct experience interacting with the
U.S. EPA
on pesticide registration matters.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Trumbull, CT and attend monthly onsite meetings in Stamford, CT.
Preferred
Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience with
consumer pest control products
for residential use.
Familiarity with
agricultural pesticide registrations .
Experience with
TSCA, Proposition 65 , or related regulatory programs.
Background in
EHS, safety, or compliance
functions.
