This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team that contributes to the growth and success of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation, project planning, project bidding, and using estimating software. They will be responsible for reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents to identify critical details and risks affecting pricing. They will also be expected to mentor and collaborate with junior staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.Responsibilities:1. Utilize estimating software (InEight, Bid2Win, or similar) to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.2. Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify critical details, risks, and opportunities that affect pricing.3. Develop accurate earthwork, structural, and plan takeoffs as required.4. Schedule and facilitate internal pricing review meetings, ensuring efficient discussions and timely decisions.5. Participate in project bidding, including preparation of bid documents and submission of bids.6. Mentor and collaborate with junior staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.7. Continuously improve estimation processes and methodologies to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.8. Provide support to project managers and teams during project execution, including change order pricing and claims resolution.Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil estimation, preferably in the construction industry.3. Experience with estimating software (InEight, Bid2Win, or similar) is preferred.4. Proven ability to develop accurate earthwork, structural, and plan takeoffs.5. Experience in project bidding and cost estimation.6. Proficiency in reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents to identify critical details and risks.7. Strong ability to schedule and facilitate internal pricing review meetings.8. Demonstrated experience in mentoring and collaborating with junior staff.9. Familiarity with construction of roads or highways is an advantage.10. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.12.
