The Systems Manager will work closely with the Director of IT to manage and enhance the firm’s technology environment. This leadership role combines strategic planning, hands‑on technical expertise, and working with the firm’s staff to ensure the firm’s IT systems meet the evolving needs of a fast‑paced practice.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of firm‑wide IT initiatives and infrastructure upgrades
Analyze business and operational requirements to design scalable technical solutions
Oversee daily operations of network, server, backup, and voice systems
Monitor IT support workflows and ensure timely resolution of technical issues
Support and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Evaluate and recommend hardware/software solutions to improve performance and efficiency
Supervise and mentor IT support staff, fostering professional development and collaboration
Assist in budget planning and cost analysis for IT projects and departmental operations

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
5 to 8 years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or supervisory roles
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory, Office 365, and document management systems (e.g., iManage)
Experience with remote access technologies, mobile device management, and networked printers/copiers
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across departments
High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive informationStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
