We're hiring a

Senior Designer / Space Planner

to lead space planning and schematic design for large-scale interior projects, with involvement in smaller projects as needed. This role works with minimal supervision under the conceptual direction of a Project Manager and plays a key role throughout design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.

What You'll Do

Lead space planning and schematic design for complex interior projects Coordinate with clients and project leadership to define project parameters and requirements Develop space plans, interior design concepts, and design alternatives that meet programmatic and technical needs Create conceptual design ideas using graphic, visual, and presentation methods Produce block plans, bubble diagrams, conceptual layouts, and 3D renderings Prepare presentation materials, finish boards, and client-facing design documentation Direct and oversee interior design development through design development and construction documents Generate, review, and coordinate interior design drawings and details Ensure design integration across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and acoustical systems Coordinate and review work produced by engineering consultants Maintain quality control, accuracy, and compliance with building codes and company standards Assist Project Managers with budgets, schedules, fee monitoring, and scope coordination Support construction phase activities, including responding to RFIs and ensuring conformance with design intent Research materials, products, and finishes; support specifications and material selection Mentor and guide design and production staff as needed Participate in internal design reviews, client presentations, and marketing efforts Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience across all phases of interior design Extensive experience planning and designing complex interior projects Advanced knowledge of interior construction methods, detailing, and documentation Strong design sensibility with proven ability in color, texture, scale, and composition High-level drafting and production skills Strong understanding of building codes, materials, construction methods, and costs Working knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, and acoustical systems Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Degree in Interior Design or Architecture required NCIDQ, ASID, state architectural license, or comparable certification preferred LEED AP preferred Benefits
