Vaco has an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Account Coordinator in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a direct hire role that is fully onsite. Salary: 60-68,000/yr
POSITION SUMMARY: Support the Sales team in the planning and implementation of marketing strategies, account management, and promotional activities. Help promote the achievement of channel and account goals with support plans that are aligned with corporate brand strategies. Coordinate and support successful new product launches and activities toward the achievement of profitable sales by gaining new distribution and strengthening existing distribution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist team with annual account planning, refinement of go-to-market strategy and provision of product feedback and market intelligence. Implement sell-in and sell-through support promotional plans and retail opportunities.
Provide background, requirements, and channel/account insights toward development of new projects and creative briefs with Creative Services, Product Management and Marketing. This includes development, production and project coordination of social media support, POP displays, signage, promotional materials, trade advertising, sampling vehicles, tradeshow elements and promotional activity.
Coordinate with Sales Managers on the planning and maintenance of customer assortments, including product pipeline for new and exclusive items, launch support, merchandising campaigns, content optimization and promotional activities to support Company's brand presence and growth. Work with Product Management to initiate new item set up and internal execution for launch support plans of customer-specific items and displays.
Support Sales team in the fulfillment of customer-specific digital content requests with accuracy and timeliness. Assist with continued optimization efforts to search campaigns, sampling programs, product content, and promotional plans. Partner with the Sales Managers and Marketing team on regular monitoring of sales trends, measurement of promotional performance, assortment optimization, and industry analysis.
Develop understanding of account vendor websites and portals for POS, inventory monitoring, and promotional performance. Assist in the item set up functions within the channel/account websites or item set up documents.
Collaborate with Sales Managers to prepare, attend and deliver meaningful presentations at customer meetings. Assist with preparation for meetings including requests for product comps, display proposals, presentations, samples, and literature. Represent company at trade-shows and events and assist in preparations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends, account profiles and planograms, industry news and competitive landscape for the assigned channels/accounts. Update planning and reference documents and perform store checks as requested.
Assists with other projects and support initiatives for the Sales team as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of previous sales or marketing experience in a consumer products environment for the Retail Mass or Commercial Market.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of influencing decision making. A high degree of accuracy and detail orientation is essential, along with excellent project management abilities. Excellent proof‑reading skills are essential. Proficient with Microsoft Suite of software.
