
A leading global law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join their Real Estate and Funds practice in the New York office. 3+ years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare for and assist supervising attorneys with due diligence and the closing of various real estate transactions.
Prepare closing checklists, file folders and arrange for the duplication and distribution of documents and closing binders.
Perform title, zoning and survey reviews, title objection letters, responses to title objection letters, abstract title documents and leases, negotiate estoppels and SNDA and other similar action items.
Interact with clients, counterparties, title companies, surveyors, service companies and government agencies.
Prepare and file UCC documents, transfer tax forms and similar governmental filings.
Order and review searches for title, violations, liens and arrange PZR and similar reports and searches through service companies.
Conduct entity searches, file and/or prepare formation documents (articles of incorporation, articles
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (paralegal certificate is a plus).
3+ years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm.
Complete understanding of Real Estate law and legal procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with shifting priorities.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Exercises solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and on a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Notary Public license a plus.
Flexibility to work overtime.
