Position Overview Responsible for managing a designated Commercial Investment Real Estate loan portfolio, including portfolio management, credit underwriting, construction monitoring, and ensuring compliance with bank and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent oversees the quality of underwriting and ongoing portfolio management metrics for the portfolio under purview, assists Commercial Relationship Managers in client relationship management, and mentors junior team members. The role typically handles complex loans or portfolios with minimal oversight.

Primary Responsibilities

Underwrite, monitor, and analyze assigned Investment Real Estate portfolio.

Identify risks in a timely manner, maintaining high accuracy and quality underwriting, and aligning portfolio management practices with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory standards.

Maintain professional development and measurable objectives.

Lead complex transactions, including construction loans, multi-level capital structures, and large developments, while demonstrating excellent communication skills to solve problems and make recommendations regarding credit structure, risk, appropriate risk ratings, and policy compliance.

Monitor portfolio to ensure it remains within acceptable tolerances and published KPIs/KRIs.

Assist Commercial Relationship Managers in client relationship management, maintaining high creditability and optimizing customer relationships.

Ensure satisfactory reviews by regulators, internal auditors, external auditors, and loan reviewers for depth of underwriting, identification of policy exceptions, and appropriate underwriting stress analysis.

Collaborate on group-wide initiatives for process, role, and responsibility enhancements, and output improvements.

Act as a mentor to junior Underwriting Portfolio Managers.

Present proposed credit actions in written analysis documents and verbally at committees and meetings.

Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Serve as a risk manager per F.N.B. Corporation’s risk management program.

Minimum Level of Education BA or BS

Minimum Number of Years of Experience 5 years

MS Word – Basic Level.

MS Excel – Intermediate Level.

Knowledge of a wide range of Investment Real Estate lending, underwriting practices, and banking practices.

Knowledge of commercial banking policies, procedures and government regulations.

Physical Requirements or Work Conditions Travel may be required on occasion.
