Role summary You are a senior, hands-on visual designer who creates smart and sophisticated visual identities and production-ready systems for high-visibility, organization-level communications. You combine exceptional typographic, editorial and motion craft with pragmatic production discipline to deliver work fast that looks and feels world class while being scalable, accessible and easy to adopt.
About the team Walmart’s Global Design organization is responsible for shaping the experiences that connect customers, associates, and partners to our mission: Save Money. Live Better. We are a multidisciplinary team of product designers, design researchers, content designers, design technologists and operators, practicing across Walmart US, Sam’s Club, International, and Enterprise. We are a craft-based, strategic design team delivering transformation of every touchpoint across all of Walmart.
What you’ll do Visual identity & craft
Lead visual and editorial identity for org-level comms (presentation decks, communications, event and email graphics, motion design).
Create high-caliber art direction: typography, layout, grids, illustration, photography and color that are refined, expressive and authoritative.
Systems & reuse
Build reusable templates, editorial frameworks and toolkits that enable consistent outputs by non-designers across channels.
Maintain a strong eye for craft while keeping templates adoptable.
Production & delivery
Deliver production-ready assets.
Support end-to-end delivery for events.
Strategic partnership
Act as the primary visual design partner for executive leaders, translating strategy and narratives into compelling visual stories.
Set standards, craft guidelines; mentor for visual and motion craft.
What you’ll bring Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of professional experience in graphic/visual design, brand identity, motion design, studio art direction, or agency work with high-visibility clients or events.
Studio/agency-caliber portfolio demonstrating sophisticated typography, editorial design, brand systems, event/all-hands or large-format comms, motion work.
Advanced craft in typographic systems, layout, color, iconography and motion.
Strong production discipline: Figma, After Effects (or equivalent), clean file systems and handoff documentation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management; experience working with executives.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building templates and reusable visual toolkits for communication in large, complex organizations.
Background in event/streaming graphics, stage or broadcast graphics.
Familiarity with accessibility, localization and front-end constraints that impact design and motion.
