Lending Representative I

**Previous consumer loan processing, loan servicing, or titles experience is required.** The Lending Representative I is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all title-related activities for loans secured by titled collateral. This role ensures the credit union's lien interests are protected, manages the full lifecycle of title documentation, and provides support to members and internal teams. Major Duties and Responsibilities Title Processing & Lien Management:

Receive, review, and process titles for loans, ensuring proper owner and lienholder information. Submit electronic and paper titles to dealerships and DMVs for lien placement and release. Track and reconcile outstanding titles, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records. Prepare lease buyout packages and guide members through title transfer for lease buyouts.

Loan Payments & Payoff Servicing:

Process incoming checks and wire transfers for loan payoffs and regular payments. Review payoff documentation for completeness and accuracy; verify funds and resolve discrepancies.

General Ledger Reconciliation & Collateral Reporting:

Perform daily balancing of processed transactions. Reconcile general ledger accounts related to title and loan servicing. Complete required reports and audits as assigned.

Member & Employee Support:

Respond to member, branch, and internal team inquiries regarding title processes. Communicating payoff deficiencies to dealership partners. Assist with cross-training and support other departmental duties as assigned. Maintain professional standards and promote positive relationships within the organization.

Knowledge and Skills Experience 2 years of experience in consumer lending, loan servicing, or financial operations preferred. Experience with title processing or DMV interactions is a plus. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical/Other Skills Strong organizational and attention to detail skills. Basic financial math and reconciliation abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and loan servicing systems. Ability to learn and apply state and federal regulations regarding titles and liens. Interpersonal Skills Professional and courteous communication (phone, email, in-person). Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Discretion in handling confidential information. Willingness to learn and participate in team training. ADA Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to routinely perform work both indoors in climate-controlled environment and outside in sometimes inclement weather.
