Supervise Development staff, manage program budget and provide leadership and direction for gift cultivation and solicitation.
**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree required.* 8-10 years of experience required in high level fund raising, marketing or related field in order to acquire skills necessary to administer, coordinate and/or participate in major gifts fund raising activities and proposal development, OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.* \*\*May consider direct fundraising experience of 20 plus years in lieu of a degree.\*\** The position requires strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate accurately and persuasively the themes and issues associated with a pediatric medical center and health care system.* The individual must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues inside and outside the Foundation.* Familiarity with the local community is strongly preferred.* A high level of analytical ability and a multi-tasked manner of thinking are required.* The successful candidate must be self-motivated and directed, possessing excellent administrative skills, high motivation, and a proven ability to produce results in a highly deadline-oriented environment.* Other required attributes include independence, reliability, accuracy, and expedience in addressing duties, as well as the ability to handle pressure, to meet deadlines and to do so with a minimum of supervision or instruction.* A strong team orientation toward both internal and external constituencies is required.* The successful candidate must be independent, accurate, reliable, and a fast worker.* Ability to learn new software is necessary.**Cook Children's Foundation**Cook Children's Health Foundation relies on the generosity of donors to support our Promise so that we can offer the latest technology and research and provide access to health care services to the children and families we serve.Cook Children’s is an equal opportunity employer.
