Job Description

The Director of Billing and Client Services oversees the daily operations of the Billing Department, ensuring effective communication, accurate work execution, and alignment with revenue cycle objectives. This role ensures that all staff meet performance expectations related to medical billing processes and workflow outcomes. Serving as the primary point of contact between PMB and its clients, the Director must communicate professionally, foster strong working relationships, and use effective leadership to guide the team in achieving departmental goals. Direct daily operations of the billingteam consisting to include supervisors and specialists Oversee entire RCM staff and structure Manage all aspects of employeeperformance including development and performance oversight, identifyingperformance issues and coaching employees toward improvement includingdisciplinary action Manage all RRS related to the RevenueCycle Management process to ensure timely and accurate submission ofclaims, denials worked consistently, and age of accounts receivable iswithin acceptable limits Minimize revenue adjustments bymonitoring performance metrics and daily work queues Assist in solving complex billingproblems and help team members improve processes, problems and issuesresolution Ensure compliance with Medicare billingguidelines and all other insurances Perform monitoring function and providetrend reports with assessment of the trends to management Monitor changes in governmentalreimbursement policies and provide leadership in strategic planning toaccommodate changes in reimbursement regulations Manage the EDI function as it relates toelectronic claims submission. Maximize utilization or EDI capabilities, toenhance cash flow. Interact withclients and build relationships with them while ensuring their needs arebeing met Develop andoversee the implementation of client service protocols Review thesubmission of claims, denials, payments and AR to ensure all is beinghandled on a weekly basis. Resolvecomplex client problems or disputes in a professional manner Requirements

Bachelors degree inaccounting/finance/business management, or HealthCare Administration orequivalent in experience 5-10 years’ experience in MedicalBilling 3-5 years supervisory experience in aHealthCare Setting Strong experience of medicalinsurance/healthcare billing and collections work in a health system or medicalpractice.

Must have strong experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management (PM) systems.
