The Territory Manager is an individual contributor responsible for driving sales growth and market share while providing basic technical support within an assigned territory. This role develops and executes territory and account strategies to grow and protect CPCC’s market position, leads sales and marketing initiatives, and monitors the performance and quality of CPCC and competitive products. The Territory Manager works cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, manufacturing, and pricing to deliver value-based solutions and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Market Development
Maintain and grow the paving/contract market throughout the state of Oklahoma.
Market CPCC’s cementitious product portfolio within the soil stabilization market across the Tulsa Business Unit (BU), including CKD, Soil Cement, and Portland cement.
Lead marketing and execute a strategic growth plan for Oil Well Cements within the assigned territory.
Maintain and grow the packaged goods market throughout the Tulsa BU footprint, including all Masonry Cements and packaged Portland cement.
Promote CPCC products and advocate for cement-based building products over competing materials.
Develop and execute clear business strategies for key accounts (e.g., market share growth, account penetration, and base protection).
Establish realistic and achievable revenue and product volume goals.
Utilize value-based selling strategies to clearly articulate customer value propositions.
Identify, analyze, and respond to the competitive landscape.
Maximize account potential using disciplined account management practices.
Track, manage, and advance major sales opportunities through the sales funnel.
Identify customer volume abnormalities and propose corrective actions or mitigation plans.
Customer Relationships & Technical Support
Develop, maintain, and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
Provide basic technical assistance, leveraging internal resources as needed to resolve product and service issues.
Deliver customer training and product education.
Gather and maintain territory intelligence on customers, competitors, and prospects, ensuring a sustainable pipeline to offset potential volume losses.
Actively share customer insights and market intelligence with marketing, logistics, and other internal stakeholders.
Effectively manage cross-functional relationships related to logistics, manufacturing, pricing, and service issues.
Participate in trade associations as required and represent CPCC professionally in the market.
Identify and communicate product development, service, and process improvement opportunities.
Planning, Systems & Compliance
Assist in developing and executing an effective call planning and territory coverage strategy.
Utilize CPCC systems to maintain accurate sales forecasts, pricing, and expense reporting.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to
safety , ensuring compliance with CPCC safety policies in all work environments.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills
Three to five years of sales experience in building materials, construction supply, or related industries.
Proven self-starter with strong organizational skills, a results-oriented mindset, and high energy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including face-to-face presentations and customer training.
Strong computer proficiency and comfort with CRM, forecasting, and reporting systems.
Knowledge of segment-based marketing strategies.
Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and sound business acumen.
Working knowledge of cement, ready-mix concrete, and concrete products.
Travel Required Yes. Travel is regional. 95% of any travel will be within the state of Oklahoma.
Preferred Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.
Bachelors or better in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Bachelors or better in Industrial Engineering or related field.
