Description

Conduct evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments and develop individualized treatment strategies

Implement physical therapy interventions that focus on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function

Collaborate closely with fellow medical professionals, including nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to achieve the best outcomes

Provide education to patients and families about therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and home exercise regimens

Thoroughly document evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with facility and regulatory standards

Engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure integrated care

Education

Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

Current state licensure as a

Physical Therapist

CPR certification is preferred

Specialized certifications (e.g., neurorehabilitation, geriatric therapy) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

Prior experience is strongly preferred

Capable of treating patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Comfortable utilizing digital charting and clinical documentation systems
