We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Superintendent to lead all aspects of civil infrastructure and concrete operations across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical knowledge in both civil and concrete construction, proven leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and supervise all earthwork and civil construction operations including grading, excavation, utilities installation, drainage systems, paving, and site work

Coordinate daily activities of field personnel, equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors

Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper execution of work

Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements

Manage project timelines and ensure milestones are met according to schedule

Oversee all phases of concrete construction, including formwork, pouring, finishing, and curing, across a variety of scopes including flatwork and vertical structures

Manage concrete mix designs, reinforcement placement, and curing processes to achieve quality and durability

Coordinate concrete crews, subcontractors, and material suppliers to meet project timelines and specifications

Perform quality assurance checks, including slump tests, surface finishes, and structural alignment

Interview, hire, and supervise site workers, tradespeople, professionals, and laborers

Prepare work schedules, assignments, and approve timecards

Communicate and enforce safety procedures, site rules, and OSHA compliance

Conduct safety audits and address any safety violations or deficiencies

Lead and mentor large crews (15+ workers) and coordinate multiple subcontractors effectively

Quality & Compliance

Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness; prepare progress reports to owners and architects

Ensure compliance with ACI standards, project-specific requirements, and safety regulations

Interpret and implement construction plans, blueprints, and engineering standards

Maintain records related to costs, inventory, and project documentation

Ideal Candidate Profile

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in civil and/or concrete construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent or supervisory role

Extensive expertise in concrete projects, including flatwork (slabs, pavements) and structural vertical concrete (walls, columns, elevated slabs)

Demonstrated success managing large-scale concrete pours (500+ cubic yards) and complex formwork systems

Advanced understanding of rebar placement, post-tensioning, and concrete curing techniques

Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural blueprints, rebar schedules, architectural details, and civil engineering plans

Deep knowledge of concrete technology, including high-strength mixes, admixtures, and cold/hot weather concreting

Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards

Familiarity with advanced tools like laser levels, total stations, or BIM software

Proficiency in construction management software (Procore) is required
