Position Summary: Due to significant growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented Production Designer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for graphic design, an eye for detail, and an understanding of the flexographic printing process. As a Production Designer, you will prepare client artwork for plate production, ensuring files meet technical specifications for flawless output.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and adjust artwork for photopolymer plate production, including layout, trapping, step & repeat, and file prep. Collaborate with clients, sales, and production teams to ensure artwork meets print and production requirements. Work with software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Esko, and/or Hybrid’s Packz, Cloudflow, and Tectonics. Maintain an organized workflow and meet production deadlines. Perform quality checks to ensure design accuracy before manufacturing. Stay up-to-date on production trends and technologies relevant to flexographic printing.
Requirements: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. Experience with Esko Software and/or Packz is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Flexographic printing, packaging design, or prepress experience preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right person! Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good communication skills.
