VPG is seeking a
Technical BD & Sales Manager
to drive growth of onboard scale systems across the Great Lakes region. This role combines engineering knowledge with sales expertise to develop dealer networks, strengthen distribution channels, and engage end users in waste, forestry, and aircraft industries. You'll build relationships, provide technical solutions, and achieve measurable revenue targets while managing your territory independently.
Responsibilities
Develop new dealer partnerships and end-user relationships throughout the Great Lakes territory through research, prospecting, and on-site visits
Prepare accurate quotations and technical proposals for onboard weighing systems
Conduct product demonstrations and close sales to meet annual revenue targets
Expand market presence in waste management, forestry, aircraft, and parallel sectors
Manage account support including order processing, follow-up, and internal coordination
Represent VPG at industry events and trade shows to build networks and generate lead
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field
Proven sales experience with distribution channels; knowledge of waste, forestry, or aircraft industries preferred
Excellent communication skills for technical presentations and professional correspondence
Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work independently with regular travel throughout the region
Strong relationship-building abilities with a team-oriented approach
Benefits
Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
